My domain is a generic name in our language. We spell sex also as seks and it's still very common to use both spellings.

Anybody experience in appraising ccTLD ?

I'm new to domaining. found this little domain to be free so I registered for $8
Anyhow great forum, still a lot of information to process.

My language is Dutch and the country is Belgium. We have about 10,000,000 citizens and 6/10 Belgian internet families have highspeed internet and anybody can register .be

Is it a good thing to have little results on Google (no competition) or is it bad (less domain value if it's generic)

I noticed you checked Alexa rankings which seems a good idea but you checked sextoys.com but isn't it helpfull to compare the number 1 on google for that keyword also 'http://www.discreet-romance.com'. They have about as much traffic as travel.com does. Or is it only type-in value that counts for domain value ?

Thanks for telling me about those appraisal services.
Do you have experience with any good appraisal services or do you appraise the domains for yourself. I mean you can value your own domains and don't need a service to do it for you like me

Still I don't get it 100%. I can see that sextoys.be is a lot more valuable than my name. But still it's generic name, spelled correctly and is searched for. Thought I would be at least worth a few hundred bucks. Is there something I'm missing? Which factors determine a great domain name? Maybe I'll look into developing the site when I have the time.
