Seeking Developers and Designers

If you are familiar with Open Source Software and Content Management Systems, then you know the benefits for your business, your clients, and the general public in participating in the development of an open source cms.

A small group of my colleagues and I are in the process of launching a new Open Source Content Management system. Here is the official description...

"The goal of this project is to produce a free, open source content management system that is secure, scalable, user-friendly, standards compliant, accessible, and visually pleasing."

Server: Apache and IIS

We will be starting from the functional, but ALPHA code base of a now declining project. This new project aims to take the most requested features of the community and combine them with an efficient core that can scale to enterprise-class needs.

We are in the final preparation stages of officially announcing the project. If you are interested in joining this project, please either reply to this thread with your questions and/or contact me via PM.

Thank you for your interest. We are not looking to outsource. Instead, we are looking for volunteers who wish to contribute to an Open Source Software Project. There are many rewards for those who are involved in such projects. And yes, some members even branch out and develop specialized services for a profit.

We are looking for volunteers on all levels.

The CMS we are branching out from is a an older system that was a fork from PHPNuke. The system has won many awards and is widely regarded as one of the easiest to deploy, customize and design for. However, over the past 2 years, there has been political and social unrest within the project that has stunted development and has resulted in the project loosing ground to competing projects.

We are looking to revitalize the project and move it forward to once again be one of the top CMS systems available. In order to do so, we need a fresh infusion of talent and ideas. We are looking to start a new project that has a few of the old devs and contributors on board to ensure backwards compatibility with the old system, but we are very interested in getting new talent to the project.

Currently, we have a small, but solid group of contributors and developers who want to move forward with this project and we are gaining additional interest every day.
