LLL domains certainly are in the middle of a great run, and it's fascinating to look back at just how cheap (although to many they seemed expensive at the time) LLL domains were just 2 or 3 or 4 years ago.

In reflecting on this, I went through my archived posts and found this related one from October 2004.

We hadn't started 3character.com yet, but this post was an early predessor to why 3c began. Wouldn't it be nice to have a time machine and a little money to buy with back then 2004 was a great year in LLL domains, but really just the beginning for LLL domain growth.

What i'd like to know is how high the average price will climb before they level out. Realistically they have to stop somewhere, surely? How far do they have to climb before people stop and say 'Wait - I could buy a flat instead of this domain...it's not worth it.'

I agree, it must and will stop at a certain level.

Think about it, at the end of the day, the LLLs must be meaningful to the buyer to command a premium.

QZV.org is a nice short name but don't think it will fit into many companies' business with meaning.

About the tendency.. in the future (because that is why we look in the past, no?), I think that there will always be a great market for quality LLL's and the market will stagnate somewhere soon for non-quality LLL's.
