Hi,

As a complete newbie with over 1000 domains I can use all the help I can get. I have been on the Sedo site to seek advise but apparently you need to fit certain criteria before you get a dedicated person on the account. Eventhough we do fit one of the criteria to apply for sedopro I was advised to get an Endorsement code for Sedo Pro. Can anyone help me with this please?

Also would like to discuss with you expert guys here how you manage large domain portfolios? What are the do's and don'ts in this business area?

As I said, I am new to this so all the advise and help is welcome.

Thanks in advance

Ladymoura

So you're saying you're a complete newbie yet you already own over 1000 domains ? I'm curious about what kind of names you have.
Cheers

Yes I do. I will discover in a later stage if they are worth anything... (couple of them have already been reserved for friends businesses) It grow bit by bit (except for that one day that my partner bought 200 domains in 1 day because he was inspired :(!!! ) as a longer term investment project and we have not done anything with them but now we really need to generate some return. Thats why we have to start with sedopro... Do you have a code for us or any advise?

What are the do's and don'ts in this business area?

The first of the big 'do's and don'ts' is: the quality of your domain names. If you're new to the biz and you have 1000 names, how did you come by them? Did you hand register all of them from scratch, or did you inherit them, or buy them as a bulk portfolio from someone?

Let us know how you got the names, and then maybe post in thread what you think are your top 20 names and we'll be better able to comment on what to do with them. If you hand regged the names recently, let us know quick, and we'll be able to tell you if it's worth keeping any names or if you might grace delete them quickly and get a refund from your registrar. At the very least, please list a handful of what you consider are your very good or best names.

Welcome to Namepros :)

This may help:
If you are new
In order to be accepted in SedoPro you are required to park at least 200 domains or reach a monthly average of US$200.

Thanks Excaped. Actually the criteria are: you need to make at least 300pm of income or own a minimum of 1000 domains. We do own more than 1000 domains but we were strongly recommended to get a Sedopro endorsement code anyway. It is better to apply with a code than without. Can anyone please pm me an endorsement code?

@Bannen our reserved domains for friends companies already cover 30% of the total cost. I will not disclose my list yet but I will keep you posted so you can tell if we should forget about them. The list is build from scratch and is a variety of English and other languages for the European market (mainly Germany)
