What is up with Sedo?

I own Koblenz.me which is a city in Germany. Sedo says it is not good enough yet they do list
Brisbane.me, Malta.me, japan.me, Zimbabwe.me.

I also own sexie.me which ain't good enough.

Just makes me wonder what their criteria is for listing????????????

Thats interesting, I've personally never had a domain rejected from being listed/parked at Sedo before. I thought they pretty much accepted everything.

He's talking about the upcoming .ME Premium Auction. It's a registry auction, the .me's that didn't sell at the previous .ME Sedo Premium Auctions. So you're not going to get any of your own .me in there and Koblenz isn't premium.

You'll get different answers on that one but for me as far as geos, it's going to be the bigger cites, tourist spots, countries, maybe capitols etc. For Germany, I would put many more cities ahead of Koblenz. There are many that get a lot more searches but off the top of my head, I'm thinking Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, might be considered premium. The ones listed above in the first post are countries/capitols.

Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Bahamas (i own the .me in this) France, Italy, Spain, etc, would be premiums.

I think the problem with Sedo is they have too many domains, its too hard to filter through the muck for anyone. I have seen domains of lower quality to mine get auctioned bid on and sold. Who knows maybe the sales people are helping other buyers unload domains they bought at Sedo?

Or, to get noticed you have to buy your placement, and just somehow list a good domain at a price to grab peoples interest by buying their "top of category listing" I have people here talk about Voodoo.

I've heard of Brisbane, Malta, Japan and Zimbabwe but never heard of Klobenz before. Sexie.me? Sounds like the wrong spelling for sexy, unless in some other language sexie means anything.

No I don't think they are being unreasonable sorry, I wouldn't buy those domains myself, the first one I know nothing about and the second one appears to be a spelling mistake.

I've had keyword.cc get rejected while hyphenated-misspelled.biz was accepted. So I have no idea how they pick the names they accept.

I have had some luck with just the buy it nows, but they've never taken any of my auction suggestions.

Koblenz - I think with a population of around 100K, it's probably not big enough

Brisbane is over 2 million and others are countries, not cities

He's not saying there is a misspelling. I believe he is just pointing out that "Home 3D Television" is not something most people would say. The more likely phrasing (if someone decided to use those three word in the immediate vicinity of each other) would probably be "3D Home Television".

But then again he used "ain't" so take it with a grain of salt... :lol:

Your examples don't really warrant entry into a premium auction but you are correct that Sedo's auction selections are very sketchy. There are head scratchers in every Great Domains auction and I've had all of my names rejected except LLL.com, even names that I've bought on Sedo in premium auctions and they are all rejected for "quality".

Quite right, unfortunately someone had already taken the "3D Home Television" domain so I had to take the lesser evil of what was left but you won't see me here complaining that Sedo Premium Auction has rejected my domain, I understand it is substandard.

There are only 1 thing at Sedo, Old sales ..They are using this rule "Old sales will be creats new sales" So check old big sales ,then think,maybe other Tld,s works, .me domain sales are hard thing today, try "marketplace.domaintools.com" You can find lot of .me diamonds there. First ,check 9+ class domains, search word put ,a,e,i ,then you will see them.
