Sedo Jealous!

heya guys,

Since i moved all my names except one to fabulous parking, i notice sedo became jealous of my new partner.

They list 90% of my names on back page. Even my only TM poker typo is getting no more than 0.90 per click.

There is a drastic change on the name ranking and PPC between sedo parked names & non-sedo parked names.

One more thing that makes my heading is the listing procedure.

Most of the names are on private registration, so every time i list those names for sale,these ppl wanted me to park with sedo for verification. WTF ?

i can't move around my portfolio from australia or germany and back to australia.

So,i requested them an alternative option. then my reply must have been fallen into their oblivious folder.

so what i did , i delete all my names then went for bulk listing. Now i just found out that some of my names are been not listed.

Come on guys, i have full time job,i have my private life,i have to do my studies, i can't perform constant check on these names. this is tedious.

I am really pissed off. Afternic is charging $20 for annual membership but their listing process isn't very tedious but their domain management is like in 18th century.

Sedo is free, but they are have their own menace.

Why Namepros can't take this opportunity to fire these ppl's toilet bowl ??

Come on RJ, get something done. Go on mainstream.

...well we know that sedo and 1+1 is the same company, and that the 1+1 side of the operation is pretty unpleasant. What you are experiencing is something smelly on the other side...or is sedo/1+1 only slightly rotten? The change in the poker ppc might be coincidental, but NPers have already noted how sedo appears to damp down parking + click payments which becomes apparent when names have been shifted to ND. Afternic may be $20 py, but you get a bunch of bazaar bucks to spend.

Nop. i never tried NameDrive.

Is NameDrive like Sedo ? domain name Exchange ???

I'm trying to be naive here. if NameDrive is better than Sedo,why i never any namedrive sale on DnJournal.com? All these while i thought NameDrive is just a parking partner.

OK let me give you a good example but not limited to one domain.

I own ParisHilton360.com

When you type "ParisHilton" on the search box, you'll see "ParisHilton360.com" on the 7th page out of 7 pages.

Ok, i'm not trying to say my domain is best of all Paris Hilton but definitely its better than ParisHiltonbj.com(pg 1), LesbianParisHiltonVideo.com(pg2), ParisHiltonForPresident.com(pg3).

When someone is looking for "ParisHilton" domain names,they are not looking for "IamLookingForAnyParisHiltonDomainName.com"

OK Abt my PPC.

I know Sedo's PPC is not the best. my *****Poker.com,used to get $1.80-$2.40 per click. Now its just $0.90.

Why now? Some of my generic poker typos are getting $6-$8 PPC on Fabulous. The only reason i can't move the *****Poker.com to Fabulous is due to TM reason.

Yeps! They own sedo. If i'm not mistaken 1+1 owns more than 51% stake on sedo.

I think the suggestion is for RJ/NP's to offer a similar service, I think you would have a lot of interest particularly from NameProers.

I am suggesting Namepros to start domain exchange service similiar to Afternic & Sedo. We have permenent members and staff, so why can't we have our own trading platform ?

When capiche's name was mentioned on DnJournal.com, Namepros.com already making its debut on the list.

RJ,mentioned that beta version of domain portfolio was released many months ago and then decided to drop the project.

All the members here can become a shareholder in return for their initial investment. This will create loyalists.

We need more competition buddy.

I guess its time NamePros came up with its own Parking service, we have been expolited alot by sedo and now especially with their partnership with 1and1, things must be sorted out.

Sedo's not the only place to park domains. Why complain about them when there are tons of other places to park your names? Makes no sense. You make it seem as though they have a monopoly or somthing.

Personally I've had no problems with 1&1 at all! Quite happy with them and their prices, for .co.uk at least. I tend to choose GoDaddy for all other TLDs now

You have been incredibly lucky to have no problems with 1&1, there the worst registrar next to GoDaddy.

I've learned not to expect much from Sedo in terms of revenue from parking or customer service (took three weeks to get a refund for a featured listing I purchased that was never put up--I finally had to submit a complaint with paypal).
