Sedo transactions - How long do they take?

So I took part in a sedo auction and I am the winner, I paid on the 7th and it is now the 12th and I have yet to receive any word on when the transfer of the domain will be made.

How long do is usually take? I even pm'd the member who is here on namepros about it and he never replied, did I just waste my time

They can be just super slow sometimes. I had an auction finished last sunday and informed by sedo that the buyer had paid but 8 days later I am still waiting. I think they are transfering my name from enom but as yet I have not had any contact from enom saying this has been requested so.. I wait

If seller transfers the domain quickly, sedo can transfer the domain quickly.

thanks for the info, I just wonder since I also pm'd the seller here on namepros and he never replied back but I'll wait on sedo.

While this does not help greatly, it may give you a clue. You can check when the user last logged there namepros account. Under the avatar on there profile page. While they may still get your messages via email from there account at least you can tell if they are ignoring you on purpose.


Perhaps worth pestering sedo if you dont here in a couple days.

Response I received from the seller, looks like I'm not getting the domain after all.

Somehow this domain has been transferred from my owner ship. I can not tell when this occurred. I believe that the domain is now irretrievable. I am not sure what to do... except apologize. I am sure the auction and your bid at Sedo will be voided. I don't even know what to say... nothing like this has ever happened. I can not even tell you how bad I feel... the domain must have expired without auto-renewal somehow.

I believe I owe you, but not sure how to make it up to you.

What a waste of time, I lost out on other domains I could have acquired instead of waiting for this one.
