Are you allowed to link to your domain names that are parked at SEDO from your other operational websites?

I am pretty sure that you arent allowed to link to domains parked at Sedo.

Heres what Sedo state on their terms and conditions....

----------

Participant may not generate traffic to Participant's domain name(s) or clicks on advertising links by any of the following methods: listings on newsgroups or discussion boards (with the exception of "domain for sale" postings), bulk emailing, PPC or banner advertisements, ICQ postings, or chat room/IRC postings, iframes, zero pixel frames, hitbots, clickbots, spiders, CGI scripts, java-scripts, or any other similar method.

*** HOWEVER, to me the above seems to say that is the Domain is For sale, this might be allowed ??? - So who knows ?? ***

Well that's part of the way there as to answering my question.

Lets say I have a blog, or a website and I put the domain name and link on the page say along with other people who have swapped links with me. Lets say this was prior to me parking the domain at SEDO.

And I got a good amount of traffic from that link.

If I were to leave it there would that be a violation of the ToS? Or in fact, what if I had links elsewhere as well, from having swapped links with other people?

This is an interesting topic. I am under the assuption that one cannot. However, if in the the sig you put domains for sale, maybe it is ok. This would be good to know for sure.

Just emailed Mara from Sedo regarding this to get a sold answer. She represents SEDO on NP: Mara

Let us know what she has to say.

I've looked around namepros for previous threads that may have discussed the topic, but I couldn't find it.

If linking to your own SEDO parked domain from your own site (ie: not a discussion group, but a legitimate site where you're getting say 2500 uniques a day) whether or not it is a breach of ToS.

If it is, well it could inadvertently mean a person is breaching the ToS by having other people who have linked to your site from when you actually had it operational.

I guess it's a loophole I'd like to have filled. Rather than run the risk of having an account cancelled due to too much traffic and then SEDO saying 'sorry, you broke the rules, for that we keep all the money'.

I received info back from Mara, at Sedo. Here is what she said: "Linking to a parked page from a signature often does not convert for the sponsors and we therefore request that sellers link to the offer page. It is also easier for the prospective buyer as you provide a direct link for them to submit an offer."

That answers the question.
