Sedo Problems-

I agreed to sell one of my domains to a buyer on SEDO, and it's been almost 15 days now since I agreed to the purchase price, but the buyer still has not secured the funds. I e-mailed Sedo to ask them what was going on, because if taken this long I figured cancel the transaction. They have not e-mailed me back and that was over four days ago. Does anyone have any similar experience or advice? Thanks.

That sounds about right, it took over 3 weeks with a transfer of one of mine. Also, you can contact "sedo" here on the board for a more direct conversation about it.

Obviously the buyer is either not very interested or cannot get the funds together. (assuming Sedo is proceeding with everything correctly). Sedo is known for being slow with transaction sometimes.

Sedo is notorious for being slow. A lot of the time, though, it's probably not their fault. I think since Sedo is a free service, they get a lot more fraudulent offers, as opposed to Afternic, where you have to pay to place a bid if you're not a member (even though it's just a buck).

I had one offer on Sedo that ran about 4 weeks long before I finally cancelled it.

Sedo are the worlds slowest at responding to emails.
There customer care ranks at the bottom for me, hence why i removed every single one of my domains from Sedo.

Same problem here.I agreed to a sale 22 days ago and heard nothing.During that time I emailed Sedo 3 times with no response.
Then last Friday I PM'ed the Sedo Rep on another forum asking him to look into it.He got back to me very quickly and said the buyer of my domain had bought 10 previous names on Sedo and "usually pays but sometimes is very slow".
The fact they said "usually" pays is a little odd..I would think his account would be shut down the first time he didn't pay.
At any rate,he said they'd give the buyer a call today to remind him,we'll see what happens.

im not a big fan of sedo but does it (the delay) have something to do with the domains having to be pushed into sedo's account first? ive bought about 10 names thru sedo and it takes about 7-10 days typically for me.

I've closed a few deals there but they took a month or so to complete, I thought they only had like 10 days to pay or it's void? not sure

well as a matter of fact, Sedo is very slow in transaction so give them a little bit more time then cancel your transaction will be the safest thing to do :)
