Sedo Passwords

I sent this question to Sedo yesterday, but it's the weekend, so I know I wont' get an answer until Monday from them. I'll bet someone here knows the answer.

I tried to change my Sedo password but it keeps telling me to "enter a valid password" as the new password. Of course, there is no information on what a valid password is. This was nine characters, lower and upper case letters, and included a couple standard symbols people often use in passwords.

Anyone know if you can enter symbols? Maybe that's the problem. Or maybe it cannot be more than 8 characters? I'd keep trying but I don't want to get locked out over the weekend.

I don't know for sure but you're probably just allowed to use numbers and letters. That seems like the norm most places I've seen.

I seem to be able to use symbols just about anywhere now. And that's what password gurus are recommending for safer passwords -- combinations of upper, lower, numeric and symbols.

No there's some good rationale for a weak password.

why don't you just go to lost password and enter you email address so they can send you whatever password you have in their database. Sedo does accept more than 8 characters but i'm not sure if they accept symbols.
