First: My sedo earnings did NOT drop after i did this!

I will keep it simple, i now park all my domains like this:

http://www.4emule.com ( sample domain ).

Domains is not really my business so i dont mind publishing my earnings:

This is based on last month earnings for my parked domains:

Sedo:

(Views) 46,237 (Clicks) 7,148 (Click Rate) 15.46% (EUR/Click) EUR 0.06 (Revenue) EUR 443.47

Additional from Adwords ( the 468x60 on top of the sites ):

Totals (Impressions) 84,313 (Clicks) 1,866 (CTR) 2.2% (eCPM) $1.57 (Earnings) $132.76

So i earn $132 extra each month, not bad

But this is not all, please also check out the link's on top of the screen, from those links i ALSO get around 100-200 unique visitors PER DAY to some of my other sites ( i like it ).

Last, if you check out the way i link to sedo, you will note that i also have setup my sedo "Partner Program" (partnerid), so if any of the visitors to my domains purchase a domain from me or any other i also get a revenue share. (did not yet get any revenue share, but it do work linking like this, i see new account signup's in my partner stat ).

PS: By using Adwords you are also able to see how many visitors your domains get, not just unique's like sedo show. you still cant see how many pageviews your domains get, the setup use frames, so when the users search on sedo the adword ad do not change!

Hope this will help some of you earn more from your domains!

Hmm looks like a good plan... is it ok with the sedo terms?

Have you received approval from Sedo to do this? Their terms state: "Domain owner may not place the Parking Program page within a frame without prior written approval from Sedo."

And "Inability to comply with any of the terms of the User Agreement or the Parking Program Rules will forfeit any unpaid earnings and result in the termination of Domain owner's Parking Program account. Further legal action may be taken in response to such violations as well."

Careful there. This is against Google TOS (no "other" PPC ads).

Google TOS say's no other context ads, not PPC ads.

Never did see that the sedo frame thing was not allowed, but i did suggest this on a domain to a sedo staff and he agreed that it was a good idea ( well that was only for one domain, and i did not mention the other links,adword :) ).

Also at sedo they write this:

METHOD 2: URL FORWARDING
If your registrar allows you to forward your domain to a URL, forward to:

http://www.sedo.co.uk/parking/domain.com
(where "domain.com" is replaced by your domain name)

If you already have hosting, then there is a third method possible: Editing your index.html file to include the following HTML code:

<head>
<title>kids.com</title>
<meta NAME="description" CONTENT="You can insert a description here">
</head>
<frameset framespacing="0" border="false" frameborder="0" cols="1,*">
<frame name="frame_left" scrolling="no" noresize src="http://www.sedo.co.uk/transfer/kopf.htm" target="frame_main">
<frame name="frame_main" src="http://www.sedo.co.uk/parking/kids.com/" scrolling="auto">
</frameset>
<noframes>
<body>Here you can insert an additional description and keywords</body>
</noframes>
</html>

OK my cols are a little larger :)

Guess that it would be a good ide to get writtin permission from sedo if anyone like to do this!

It works like a dream!

That's the problem. There's a reason why the frames are set to zero. They need to authorize any content change in writing. You really need to get their permission or you're likely to lose your parking account with them.

Let us know what they say! :)

So if you host your own domain and use the html like this, thats how you customize your parked pages?

Never did know how to do this, but always wanted to try.

So your allowed to put adsense on your parked pages? Or any other ads?

I noticed many people do this at domainsponsor too?

Well there might be a problem with permission from sedo to do this, so i just sent them a email asking for permission, let's see :)

Guess i can always link to another search engine , parking service if sedo to not allow me to do it!.

Yes i just setup 1 host with a dedicated ip, and point all domains to the same ip. i then made a small .asp program to read what domain was typed, and redirect to the correct sedo url ( also put in keywords on some of the top domains ). Then i made this little 404 redirect script so it will grab all traffic:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
<!--
window.location="http://"+document.domain;
// -->
</script>

So if the visitor write , http://www.4emule.com/dssdasda/sdsd.html it will redirect you to http://www.4emule.com

BTW, i use .htaccess of Apache to grab ALL traffic to /
Code:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php

It is very useful, as practice shows. :)

Ad Placement
No Google ad or Google search box may be displayed on any domain parking websites

Sorry, I'm afraid that it's not allowed by Google... :|

I got my permission from sedo the other day :) so i'm happy and will keep it like this!

Another thing i noticed and did not think about is that i'm now getting more and more traffic on the domains from search engines, as i have setup different keywords targeted to the domains ( mainly did this to get adwords to display the most targeted ads for each domain ) check:

http://www.korn-net.com

http://www.4emule.com

See they have different targeted keywords, so actually it looks like the traffic to the domains is growing!

PS: My permission to use this setup on sedo, is not final! they say that they get more and more people asking for this, so they will run me/my domains as a test to see what this do to the CTR on domains, SO DO NOT REFER TO ANY OF MY DOMAINS / PERMISSION IF YOU ALSO LIKE PERMISSION TO DO THIS, MY PERMISSION IS NOT 100%, THANKS!

No Google ad or Google search box may be displayed on any domain parking websites

Yep that is a problem, Guess i just have to put another context ad, from another network on there, anyone know of a context network that allow this ?

Just to be clear:

Framing the parked page is allowed. You can add your own keywords, title and other content if you wish. This will help the pages ranking in the SE's.

However, the framed Sedo parked page cannot have:
-->any other outside links including your other Sedo parked sites,
-->other ppc links,
-->other affiliate links either.

Bottom Line: Your framed Sedo parked page can have nothing but the singular framed page plus content you provide to help SE ranking.

If you read the post above yours then you would see that SEDO isn't your problem, but google certainly will be if you continue to do that...

Parked domains and Adsense is a big no-no, and you're also maniputaling the adsense keywords by hiding text under the ads.
And that's certainly a very big no-no as well....

I'm just trying to give you a friendly warning here since I'm pretty sure your Adsense account will be locked real soon if you continue to do this...

But it's your account, and your choice...

Yes the only problem is the Adsense ad, thats why i have replaced the adsense ad with ads from my own network, so now the setup is 100% OK!

i hope they allows these kind of stuff for huge traffic domains

I do not know what a "huge traffic domain" is in your book, but one of my domains get 900 unique per day, and that domain was allowed :)

I'm still seeing search engine traffic is growing each day :) , after i did this my log files show that in the start there was like 1 - 4 hits per day from yahoo (when they was parked at sedo), now after this it's growing each day and is now around 100 unique hits per day from yahoo ( still growing ) , and i'm also seeing the same from msn - google etc.. NICE!
