I'm beginning receiving them.

I think it's good because a bid is always a bid - and "bids" is a criteria by a watcher can sort domains for (am i right?)

And sometimes (as i've read in this forum) small bids could hide so called "low balls" and end with a good offer.

I always react politely when i receive those offers.

I have to admit that's for respectful and it's a good way to handle it. Everyone wants to get something for cheap and you never know how much the seller actually wants for the domain. Everyone has different opinions just tell them what you think and you never know.

I've now listed my names with minimum bids(more than the $60 minimum) to get rid of the tire kickers that waste your time. So,if someone bid the low 60,they receive a message saying, sorry the seller has specified a minimum offer of whatever, say $200.

That takes away a lot of offers though because people don't like starting so high. They start low and then they sort of just get hooked to the domain. They will keep on bidding higher and higher. Hopefully you understand what I mean.

Not directly related, but still interesting.

A couple days go, I got a $200 offer on a domain that I just got the day before when it dropped. What was interesting is the offer included a comment stating...."This domain was made available to you yesterday for a discount price. I think X number of times what you paid is fair"... and it was from a guy who had also backordered the name.

At first, his comment slightly irritated me, as if I owed him a break. Then, after realizing it's something I've done myself (thru email though, not SEDO) I realized he was just trying to get a bargain, and being the cheapskate that I am, I can't blame the guy for trying.

:)

It would be nice if things we're like that, but they aren't,at least from my experience.Setting a reasonable minimum weeds out those people that aren't serious about purchasing. And believe me there are lots of people out there who aren't serious about buying.Sure everyone like a bargain, who doesn't...but some people are just plain ridiculous...
