I looked all over and can not find an answer to this question.

One of my domains sold via Sedo auction. How long a time period does the buyer have to come up with the money?

From my experiences, they've got a month before Sedo cancels the transaction.

within 10 business days

How long does the buyer have to make payment?
Question
How long does the buyer have to make payment?
Answer
We ask the buyer to send his payment within 5 working days, with the aim of having the money to us within 10 business days. If a transaction has been open for ten days since the date of agreement without payment being secured from the buyer, the seller is free to cancel the sale.

Additionally, transfer agents can and do cancel sales in which payment is tardy. The exact timeframe varies due to the time it can take for money to be sent to and from different countries. After the initial payment request has been created, reminders are sent to the buyer while the payment is outstanding. Our transfer agents will also pursue buyers in order to get payment made promptly.

It is in the contract as 10 days as weblord pointed out, but I've had transactions that were open for a month because Sedo felt like the buyer was eventually going to pay. If 10 days has passed and you want them to close it, tell them to. Otherwise you may be waiting a long time for nothing.

If it was a large sale to an end user that purchased it through their/a company account it can take a lot longer than 10 business days. Many companies have to create purchase orders which have to go through various channels and signatories before the cash is finally released to Sedo.
Another delay could be that the buyer has paid within the 10 days by credit card. I have reason to believe that Sedo wait a number of days when a credit card is used for payment. Some time ago I sold a domain via sedo to another NP member who paid immediately by credit card. I was not notified that payment had been made until 7 days later.
