I have alot of respect for Reece, and I just want to respectfully respond to a statement that he made in regards to some members thinking that .mobi is the second coming.
We already have the Computer that has recently been introduced into the marketplace that is now an accepted and welcomed addition into the households of all of us fortunate enough to own one, and in addition to that it has been the primary platform for the internet, which has definately grown and developed with leaps and bounds from the days the internet was first introduced to the mainstream public and to the world for that matter.
Beings that we now have a 2nd Device (Mobile Device) that will be used to platform this New Mobile Internet, the Second Coming of dotCom is certainly on the horizon, and all the major players are not taking this new internet platform at all lightly. The reasons I originally purchased .mobi's were to steer more eyes to my dotCom sites, and I certainly don't have to think twice regarding the potential and my (primary) intentions for my dotCom extensions.,
However, there's some major ingredients in this .mobi extension that will indeed bring new meaning to the 2nd coming of dotCom.
Mass Marketing Appeal/Ability & Mainstream Acceptance. .Mobi/Mobile Web
.MOBI = .COM 2.0 (No)
.MOBI = Mobile Web 1.0 (storms a comin)
