I would like your opinion on the seasonality or lack there of in domain sales. Is there a period of weeks/months within a year you sell more domains than usual?

I would say the first and second quarter are probably the best times. Things might get a little tight by the third quarter and by the fourth quarter of the year businesses are preparing for end of the year taxes, bonuses, and other costs. I would say hands down the fourth quarter is the worst time of the year to sell domains. At least, in my experience.

The last couple of years for me have been 1st & 3rd quarter being best for sales, with 2nd & 4th being slower. The slowest has always been the 4th quarter as FPForum stated above.

I think that that might have a bit to do with the people selling them and not just the buyers. The 4th quarter a lot of people are busy with family, holiday's, etc so they might not be putting the same effort into it that they do at other times of the year.

I agree with your opinions. My best sales have been in the first quarter from my experience. I think tax refunds have a huge push in driving sales as most of my sales are reseller purchases.

I'll third that and specifically say from late December to March are greatest volume. New Years resolutions may also be a factor. In contrast, late June, July are slow.
