Search function broken?

Did the great database crash of '06 kill the search function?

I can't search for any posts made before yesterday. Example: search for Google or GoDaddy and it only returns results from yesterday onwards.

Can someone confirm this?
Also can this be fixed?

I have the feeling RJ may have deleted the search index to make it easier/quicker to transfer the website to the new server (when the time comes). I guess he'll then rebuild it when the forum has been moved over.

Bingo. Database backup and restore with search the database intact takes over 3 and half hours. I can get it down to about an hour without the search index, so I've removed it for the time being in preparation for the server move later today.

If you need to find search anything in the meantime, I'd suggest Google. Most of our threads are indexed there.

Use site:namepros.com in your Google search query to limit results to NamePros.com.
