I installed the google toolbar the other day for a number of reasons - its a good pop-up controller and I wanted to know what this "Page Rank" thing was.

Now when I go to my dads site, www.bagnboxman.co.uk I see it has a page rank 0f 5/10. But if i go to http://www.bagnboxman.co.uk/index.php the page rank is 0/10.

does this mean that google is ignoring the php pages?

I've always wondered but forgotten to ask, but do search engines treat php, shtml, html etc etc pages differently?

Thanks,

Tjobbe

google will only index things it can find

the 2 links are actually different in the eyes of google i belive so because it hasnt come accross /index.php it doesnt have a pagerank, thats how i think it works anyways

and google will also only index a certain amount of dynamic files due to stability isues i read on the google site
