Were could i find a great free Search Engine script like google, yahoo, etc..... at?

erm.. for someone who hasn't really become experienced with PHP, I think you're jumping in at the deep end a bit.

yeah i think so too....i recommend you look at some basic php knowledge then look at PHPDIG which is a good spider search engine and does the job well.

I guess http://www.phpdig.net/ should be what you are looking for. I have never tried it myself, but it seems to be search engine.

I think you can find some crawlers and search engiens at hotscripts but i dont think they're free.

Wouldnt be too hard to make it allow users.

Infact, i think there is a few mods online for this.

Oh god its terrible easy. I read a tutorial on it by Iluke, some time ago On the CWM.
basicly it depends on your method, if you use SQL you would use a like function, and use the mysql_fetch_array function to spilt them up.

I'm not sure that some of the newbies and maybe even some of the regulars understand that search engines don't just consist of web component software. They are full of C++, VB.NET, CGI, etc etc, not just the basic PHP and MySQL some of us think that they are (and what we see on the outside).

Just a thought to think about ...
