I want to know what everyones thoughts are on search engine submission... Such as do you just submit manually to the few big ones? Do you use a free/paid program to do it? I am looking for whats best, also whats fastest, just all around recommendations. Looking to try out new things. Thanks a ton!

I usually submit to directories (not search engines) because these directories (choose wisely) are already indexed by search engines and they helped your site get indexed as well.

So directories are better to submit to than search engines?

Alright well tyvm. Are there any just general directories you can post any domains in? If so and ya don't mind, PM what they are if ya don't want everyone in the forum to see them.

You don't need to submit to SE, sure if you have quality links they will find you themselves.
Directory Submission is helpful but it all depends on the quality of the directory where you´re submitting your site. If the directories are relevant to your site and they´ve got some popularity, the back links will be helpful. Then, die=rectories are good for targeted traffic though might be minimal.

Thanks everyone for your help... I didn't state this in the beginning but I was talking about parked pages, which you cannot submit them to directories because they will not be accepted. How do you get traffic going to parked pages? O.o

Go for free as well as paid directory submission, free links are not surely approved and even if approved you get just one backlink but paid links are approved faster and featured link in some directories give your link on all pages of directory i.e. you get around 200 backlinks with just one featured link. it is beneficial in that way.

Highest PR directories will reject your site for sure. But you can still find a lot of directories that accept parked pages. Just review submission rules.

Submit your site to Search engines in my opinion. Create an XML site map so you will get indexed faster. If you need any help with XMl sitemap, us google webmaster toolkit or if you want guidance, visit my blog, i made an article about XML sitemap and provided a sample too. Cheers.

HI

Submit to as many free directories as you can...

Just make sure your site content is the best it can be...

The SE will find you and rank you from there...

You should focus on your sites content first then submit to directories... the rest will follow..
