Well, my first reaction was "I've never heard of it and I love researching animals, insects, etc". Also, only 27100 EM searches per month and only 403,000 Google results tells me its not so well known as you think. Still, it can have some value since it is a real insect.
The value of domains with animal or similar names is in brandability usually, not the animal itself (with obvious exceptions when it comes to pets like dogs/cats or animals with industries built around them or massive interest animals like whales/wolves - and even then the most value may be as a brand).
However, this insect is not very well known and incredibly hard to pronounce and 4 syllables - and even harder to remember/spell. Honestly, most of its value will be either novelty or more likely as an info site about the insect. Such an info site would not have great value.

Hope this helps!
