School site im designing need feedback!

Hi,
I've got a contract to create my school's webpage.

Currently im just working on the basic layout there is not many pages just the index and school info.. could I have some feedback? ideas? comments?

Thanks for the comments, one thing that bothers me is the logo at the bottom.. but I dont know how i could really make that blend in more? any ideas?

Very nice, simple, fast & good looking!

Only thing is the little 'Department of.. etc etc.' logo at the bottom as you've mentioned.

Maybe try lifting it off the page with a shadow effect or a bigger stroke/content box.

I agree...

Very nice, clean, simply and quick.
However...I think :imho:
needs a little more. Perhaps a few links, Staff, grounds, student body, mascott etc....

Maybe some pics to humanize it.

I agree with namenut, put something like links, staffs, photos, statements, news and more. Compare the homepage with the school info, the font styles doesn't match. Use one font style! Lack of graphics. Put more photos about staffs, buildings, whatever. Make a better layout and leave some blank space in the left and in the right side.

Im working on the layout! I have a huge pile of paperwork to type out for it something like over 50 pages of text or more! there will be pages.. at the moment im looking to do the layout a bit better! same with photo's its the layout I want comments on not the photos and content because there is none yet, the school info page is just there cause I got around to typing it out quick the fonts will be fixed later.

Blank space on left and right dont know about that? anyone else want to comment?

There will be more graphics its only the template im designing for now.

The school logo has always been blury, they scanned it in from a school jumper so its pretty bad quality.

Yes im typing 90% of it some of it has allready been typed out.
