I have just found out i accidently sold a domain with a Page Rank of 5 for $17 by mistake, without realising the traffic on it :red: The guy must have thought christmas came early!

Has anyone else ever done the same?

i actually sold it on this board a few weeks ago. it was chatcss.com. I bought it on ebay for 99 cents about a month prior when it had no page rank or traffic. Maybe it has a page rank with no traffic?

PR is overrated. No real links to the name. Be glad you made a decent profit and be done.

Maybe the PR was changing at that time and wasnt a stable stat. Did you check it after that as well for confirmation?

It's still a PR5 in both places I checked (with the www). No backlinks though so you didn't really lose out.

Hopefully you've learnt an important lesson

Don't be so sad, it can be some PR bug,
sometime ago I had domain whoi.info, when I regged it page rank was 0,
and one day I checked page rank again and it was 7!!!
domain was undeveloped and pointed to notworking dns's
but after next PR update it was 0 again.
Isn't It Strange?

some sound advice there guys. to be the best you have to make mistakes and learn from them so this should make a better domainer in the future. Could have been a lot worse though!
