I have two separate topics here, but I figure to save space in the forum I'll consolidate them into this one thread. I'm fairly new at this, so push me in the right direction.
1. I picked up Scenez.com recently. I'm in the process of developing it into a social networking type site. I haven't publicized it at all, but it's still getting a few typeins a day. There's over 10,000 Google results for "scenez", and I also found two sites using the keyword in their name: www.scenez.nl and www.scenezgroup.com. I don't think I'm going to sell it, but out of curiosity - what do you think it is worth?
2. "Typo" domains. Are they frowned upon? I have the following domains:
- LAtimse.com, typo of LAtimes.com. It gets about 5 uniques a day, good click-through rate.
- Nioxyn.com, which is a typo of Nioxin.com (some kind of hair/cosmetic product). Not doing as well as I had hoped, only getting about 10 hits/week.
Are these typos worth anything? Should I feel kind of sleazy for having them?
PS. If anybody wants Nioxyn.com, I'm just looking to get my registration fee back, which was $9.25.
