apple just installed safari on my system.

with that plus object dock, why do i need to buy a mac now? my pc looks just like a mac now at a third of the price.

i've never used safari before, is it good enough to give up firefox?

I tried Safari out on my PC when it was in beta and it was ok. Nothing to get me to switch from Opera :hearts:. I actually preferred Firefox to Safari but all in all its really not that bad of a browser. Atleast its not IE 6...just my quick opinion.

I tried it when I was on Windows and it didn't work at all for me - no text showed up. I'm sure it's a good browser if you get used to it and it works, but Opera is the best by far for me.

I recently downloaded Safari aswell - reminds me of iTunes!

My order would be

Firefox > Safari > Opera > IE

This is not meant as a flaming post or to provoke anyone, but is that a serious question??

I use Safari on occaision, it's a decent browser on both platforms but I'll stick with Firefox just because I like the idea of being able to grab addons for odd jobs if I want them)

The release version user experience is quite different from the beta.

I tried Safari during the beta testing and was not a big fan of it. I would have to say that I personaly perfer Opera more than IE and Safari. As for Firefox, many will argue it is the best out there. If you are one who uses alot of addons and browser plugins, I would have to agree with the firefox lovers. But, because I don't really have a need for the addons, Opera has done quite well for me and I feel it is a very good browser.

My apple updater just downloaded it and installed it for me. At first I thought it would suck but after using it I've set it as my default browser instead of Firefox :). The only thing I don't like about it is that some sites aren't made to be suited on Safari so sometimes certain websites show up all weird. Another thing I hate is the fact that I can't middle click and scroll up and down :(. Hopefully they'll add that onto the next version. I think it actually goes well with Windows Vista :).
