domain ' s.ecurities.com ' do domain hacks are of any use ?

I bought a domain "ecurities.com" thinking it a nice brandable name for building a stock market(NASDAQ) website.
After buying the domain i posted it for appraisal in a forum to find how good is it and what other people think.

One of the post said that i should use it as a domain hack using the domain as s.ecurities.com which can make it more popular rather than as www.ecurities.com.

My questions are

1) Are the domain hackes of any use ?
2) Will it help me brand my product better using the domain hack ?
3) What should be the market cost of the above mentioned domain hack ?

Domain hacks are a fun way to create a site but in most cases undeveloped don't add much value. In you case se.curiti.es or securiti.es would be a better hack than the one with the .com.

Undeveloped I don't see much value. You might be better sticking with your original plan of developing into a stock market website and trying to brand the name ecurities.com (with the domain hack redirecting or the other way round).

Stock market and investment sites can do quite nicely if developed well and marketted properly, but it is a tough market to break into and would require a lot of work.

I am even planning a mobile based Stock market website called "MarketonMobile.com" by which users can search for stock quotes using their mobile phones having GPRS activated.
