I sold a domain for 5 figures at Sedo.
They said, they sent payment.
After one week, they said it was not sent because of internal decision of their bank.
Then I suspected it is related to the bank, which has problem with US,
so I changed the bank, and informed Sedo.
Sedo said, they sent the payment.
After one week, they said it was not sent by the bank because of internal decision.
They don't say what internal decision it is.
And they claim they sent the payment, although their bank refused to send it.
They suggest that they send a check or wire to US.
I'm not currently in US, so this is not an option.
They also suggested that they send it by P a y p a l.
P a y p a l ok for small amounts, but I can't use it in my current location,
so it is not an option either.
I told them they should send using another bank, they re fu se.
I told them to bring c a s h to me, they re fu se.
It looks like it is partly about that my Sedo ad dr ess is in US,
but they don't allow users to change Sedo ad dr ess.
B a n k data is completeley legitimate, as they accept.
A few years ago they didn't have a problem with sending more than twice that amount by wire.
Now they re fu se, and it is impossible for me to know whether they really tried to send it.
And it doesn't matter, because I don't get the mo ne y, and it is completely their f a ult.

I had to split words, otherwise it can\t be posted.

Can you contact the buyer and ask him to claim a refund, and then pay you directly.

Failing that, I would see if you have any options to reverse the transaction as a result of non-payment. Is the buyer a reputable organisation that would not like to be involved in a non-payment dispute for the name?

I'm currently in T u r k e y (which is at the intersection of Euro pe and Middlee ast and is a Na to member and its founder is gr eat man A t a t u r k).
Do n't buy or sell at Sedo, until they correct their mistake.
I suspect Sedo was acquired by e vi l people, otherwise why should they openly s t e a l mo ney belonging to customers.
If their b ank and not them s t o l e the mo ney, then they should p ay from their own poc kets.
I di slike their website very much. Same thing happening at regi strars. Even checking whois is a big deal now.

Buyer got the domain. Buyer part is finished. Sedo got the commission. They also got the 85 percent belonging to me, and keeping it for themselves, and unless I don't send an angry message they don't even respond. So they will s t e a l and unless I say why are you s t e a l i ng my money they won't say anything, and if I say so, they say we sent the payment but our b a n k doesn't.

S T O P U S I N G S E D O. I saw every reviewer gave 1 rating (lowest) for Sedo. Their complaints are uncomparably unimportant when compared with this t h e f t.

It sounds like you need a lawyer to get involved with this.

its terrible advice to tell others to stop using sedo until your own particular, specific, and god knows caused by what, situation gets resolved.

which is not to say your intentions when giving this advice are bad.

but its still absolutely awful advice, that no one should follow

Very hard to say what happened here and why. No details of failed bank transfer provided. I do not mean that it should be published on public forum though, but only with these details it may be possible to find an answer.

Sedo definitely does pay and in timely fashion. Maybe it was some specific destination bank that has problems? Such as Northern Cyprus based bank (recognized only by Turkey). Or a small bank with little or no corresponding accounts abroad so the senders bank simply could not determine how to route the payment (internationally).

Contrary to above claim, I must submit my experience with SEDO has been fantastic one. I live in Saudi Arabia, I did not have any problem getting payment from Sedo. If your bank account or Paypal account account is active, one should not have any problem with SEDO. It is all automatic. They do not delay even a single day, when the buyer confirmed them that he/she received the domain name. There may be some exceptions, but remember exceptions always act against the norms.

Do you have any relatives or friends living in Germany? They could visit the Sedo Headquarter and try to solve this for you or you find a lawyer in Germany to solve the issue for you!

If you hire a lawyer you can do it on Upwork.com.However this process will be slow.Sometimes tweets work very fast ,tweet to them directly so that everyone following can see, and may be then they will solve your problem fast. Also you may directly contact sedo's bank to find out the problem on your own and also call your bank to find out if the problem is on your side.

I have sold few domains on SEDO .not for such big amount ,payment process was fine.

They cannot keep your money. They either release the funds to you or return your domain name. You need a Lawyer.

Sedo has been around for a while, given its turkey it has to be a banking issue, use one of their alt payment methods.

My guess is you went off on them, after they gave you their options, and they have probably stopped responding.

They said at the beginning of the week that they will pay in the middle of the week, but they are silent at the end of the week, and not responding. 5 fig for .info yes, but I'm not allowed to post it, but if they insist on not paying then I would, and this would be legal anyway. I don't understand why .io is so popular, while it only means indian ocean; and .info is not nearly as popular despite being much older and more meaningful. But it doesn't matter what is popular, if they don't pay. If I was in their position I would have trouble sleeping at night.

Fun ds receiv ed eventually. Probably the pr oblem was that they sent it from the wro ng co untry at the beginning. I suppose in the future transa ctions will go sm oothly as they did in the past.
