Hi, I recently re-designed my site but it's running really slowly for some reason. It loaded fine before hand but now it's loading really slow. Could someone have a quick look and tell me where I have gone wrong please.

Thanks

Hey
Having a look at your source you are using tables. This could slow the site down. Also what does the site run on becuase some times the framework it is built on can slow a site down.
Cheers

Hey thanks. I only have about 5 more tables than I previously had. It's a confusing one huh? I don't use frames on my site just borders.

Hmmm What about the framework it runs on. Or is it a script you bought.

No it's not a script it's all my own work. I use a lot of php in it but no more than i previously used. I have an index.php site that is my main layout and I use php to fetch the navigation <?php include"includes/leftmenu.php"; ?> and for my ads I use <?php include"includes/ads1.php"; ?> but I used all that on my previous design.

Has anything changed, host changed anything. Maybe there is a bad piece of code slowing down the whole site?

Nope the host is still the same. I'm going through the code again but I don't think i'll spot anything.

That is probly the most likely cause, a defect piece of code. If you need any help looking through the code PM me

Hi I sorted it... thanks for the advise though I had <?php includes/config.php; ?> at the top and I didn't need it and it works fine now.

Many thanks
