.rs Landrush started !

March 10, at 12h noon, officially started the registration of .rs domain.

.rs is national domain of Serbia. This is a 3rd day of landrush and there is still a lot of good names. Here is a few hacks available at this time

Too expensive, not for newbies :imho: There is also a list of reserved names. Don`t play with it if you don`t know what are you doing.

Depends who you registered with, some registrars have automated scripts for .rs registration, others have to manually enter it to RNIDS for it to register, and that wont happen if its after work hours. If it doesnt show up in WHOIS in the next few hours dont expect it until tommorow.

I just got ne.rs, there are 362 english words that end in ners, yea it becomes a very ugly domain hack like domai.ne.rs, begin.ne.rs, foreig.ne.rs, jetli.ne.rs but I like it also ne means no in Serbian, that could be developed into a easy to remember site.

I did some research last night and the other available LL.rs with possible hacks and how many words you can make are:
ee.rs 82
do.rs 28
mo.rs 15
oa.rs 10
ta.rs 29

other good ones that are taken are to.rs (650), he.rs (340), se.rs (204)

domain hacks are good. But at the moment, I would rather focus on generic names . There are still very good generic names available.

As far as i know, no. But you can try to contact admin or support of any registrar, i am sure they will gave you much more information, or even act as your administrative contacts. Try http://www.cri.co.yu/en or http://loopia.rs/

Almost any registrar will accept to act as administrative contact for you. My suggestion is to try with www.cri.rs (they have English version of webiste, live help chat, online payment via credit cards and they are very reliable: Google, Microsoft, HP etc used them for their .rs registrations)

Thanks for your help ajkukla, I've just registered a domain. What's the best parking company for Serbian traffic? I've put it with Sedo for now but I'll probably change it to Bodis before long.

Sorry, but really don`t know what parking company is the best for .rs domains. I only have two .rs and both of them are for development. Try few of parking programs. I can help you with keywords if you want.

english names in serbian domains? unbelievable.. ajkula brate ukrast če nam ovi sve domene hehe. I don't think serbians use so much english anyway, rather than registering weird anglo-serbian domains try some IDN serbian ones. I don't say these are or will be worthless but probably if in future all browsers will support IDN names they will be, cause serbs use cyrillic keyboards/alphabet. That sports.rs is kinda good though as in serbian is sport, so you taken a good one, but game.rs sleepe.rs and such are really lame.

Oh wait I didn't ask.. to these domains support IDN registrations?
