Ravi Shankar, Indian sitar maestro, dies at 92.

Ravi was a huge influnce on George Harrison and Beatles music as well as introducing westerners to the music of India as played thru the sitar.

Ravi played at Monterey International Pop Festival, and Woodstock.


RIP Pandit, you will be missed.

Saw Norah Jones a couple years ago in Portugal. Just a shame I never had the pleasure of seeing her dad in concert. Love the sound of the sitar. RIP Ravi.
