.mobi Ringtone Mobi's??

I truly believe the way for dot mobi to get it's name out there is for the names or sites to actually "do" something.

Here is my ideea: Make dot mobi "viral". Dot Mobi MTLD should sponsor a contest for dot mobi owners to enter which will award $$$$ to the person who comes up with the best "ringtone" that is downloaded.

Ringtones are viral. Spread the Ringtone, you in a sense, spread the mobi address. Starting to get it Pinky?

I have an example: If you were to enter "Screaming.mobi" (btw not reg'd as of this post--good luck!) you could find a "Screaming Mobile Ringtone". If this Screaming Mobile Ringtone became "popular"---guess what? That web site address would become popular as well.

In a nutshell, Pinky and team need to think about marketing mobi around the products or services that have "worked" on the mobile device.

not a bad idea.. in other words, .mobi needs to start thinking out of the box and begin some interactive marketing initatives!

This can happen for many subjects...we need just 1 .mobi to catch on in the main stream and the .mobi brand will be created...it could also be a whole country adopting use too...or an age group...etc
