I agree with the other comments about it being too white. Since you have a lot of light pastel colors maybe just lighten the blue or green one and make it your background so there is a little color, but nothing to invasive. Over all the site is very very great work!

background change

cheers u guys for the reviews, i am currently working on the content, so you may have to wait a while, as for the homepage, ive just redone the background and was wondering whether you think it is an improvement or not. Let me know!

thank you rusty. if the colours were much darker id have to change all of the coloured font, otherwise it would clash. Anyone else fancy reviewing my site??? Go on, you know you want to!

Header is alright but it should be aligned left. Need to change the colored squares too.

justy changed the layout of the homepage (again), what's wrong with the squares??? I added a new camping tips section which is available through the home page, and moved the latest campsites scroller up.
Any other comments on the layout etc, are greatly appreciated!

Just to let you know ive added a map onto the campsite search page. Only the bottom few counties work at the moment but will be fully functional soon. Just wondered your ideas on the design of it!

Thanks for your reviews. Taken on board your comments and ive made a mouseover script for the useless squares on the homepage. Would like your views on these and anything else you can think of!

It needs some breaks (vertical lines). It's all horizontal, and makes the eye expand to the edges of the screen, not focus on the content.

And what's the main focus? Is it "Welcome to the brand new ecampsite!" or "The new place to search for campsites throughout Britain" (since everything is centered, and the eye is more drawn to the latter than the former)?

I do like the color fade effect, gives the page some mystery to explore (and sets a mood. The general public's perception of the UK is fog and misty highlands afterall).

Concept is good, just needs some container breaks and emphasis on focus. Not every site needs to be "jumpy" and technical (an outdoor site definitely doesn't need techno artwork, let the landscape tell the tale instead).

Completely changed the site, now use php for the headers etc that i use a lot of, would people be able to have a look at it to make sure its functioning ok! Thank you very much,
