and the design a tad plain, perhaps add more bharat colours on it

I've seen many Fansites out there, but I think I haven't seen a Shachin Fansite before.
I think you need to change the font, not like it sux but that doesn't really look good, change it to Verdana or Arial. You need a new banner and the picture is stretched. If you want, I'll make you a website for Sachin for $25 [ Full website / Coded ].Just PM me if you want. I just wanna help you build this Fansite.

I am also a sachin fan (like ever other Indian).
You need to work on the graphics.
The logo seems pretty sketchy (with distortions). Also the image on the left is out of proportion.

As has been said, the images are shot to hell stretch wise, and also you could optimize them. [Bring out better colours]
