Hey NP users!

I just updated my design portfolio and was looking to get some suggestions and/or feedback! Take a peek and let me know what you think.

Online Portfolio of Nicholas Hiotis

Thanks!

Hi Nick,

Great work. Simple and professional. I would suggest 2 things:

1- Use a different font for the logo. It's not really readable.
2- Use a free jQuery slider for your portfolio images to avoid scrolling.

Good Luck

Thanks Ik! I'll definately look into a method of showcasing my images without the scroll bar. Good idea!

I certainly like the jQuery idea.

It does bother me though that you have such a beautiful logo portfolio but your own logo is almost illegible. I would personally go back to square one with the logo. Just one man's opinion mind you.

Your home page is empty. Add some samples there too. Looks like under construction site.

perhaps center it instead of left align?

I'll repeat what everyone's said about the logo. Make it more readable. Overall, the site looks a little too plain for my tastes. You're a designer and you've made some beautiful stuff, but your own site looks like something I would have made myself using FrontPage back in '98. I appreciate the minimalist approach, but there's minimalist and there's bland, and I think yours is leaning toward the bland side.

I'd say shake up the text a bit. Have the navigation links be a slightly different font or a different color or something. Maybe have some sort of background element, or have the background (the "white space" to the right of your main content area) be a different color or style.

Also, I'd consider adding a favicon.

Hope this helped. Again, good job!

Tristan

I'm not too fond of the jQuery slider. I like scrolling.
