I just set up a new proxy. Its running off of PHProxy, and I just modified the design heavily, and some of the code. My goal was to make it look as simple as possible, while keeping the Adsense and the top site buttons.

The URL is wiiguides.info

If anybody has any suggestions, I am completely open to making any changes. Ideas about better integrating the Adsense or top site buttons are especially welcomed.

Good reviews, expect some NP$ and rep.

My only objection is using Free Web Proxy instead of the name of the domain... just so people remember where to go back while their at school trying to access website ;)

I had an extra domain laying around, and its less likely to automatically be banned by filters, because 'proxy' isn't in the domain. The next proxy that I build will be more brandable with a real name.

And feedback on the design?

Thanks.

I just got a new domain, spryproxy.com. I haven't set it up yet, but how do you like that domain? Its a lot more brandable, and I just love the word spry!

Once that is all set up, I'll ask for another review.

Thanks for the input!

No im talking about the image on the website that says Free Web Proxy. It should be like something Wiiguides.info: Free Web Proxy just so people know what the website is so it sticks in their head or something. Just my opinion ;)

WHOA, David. The page is completely overloaded with "Where we're listed", flashing lights, etc. Unless you're representing Las Vegas, or simply want to show off where your site is listed, you somewhat missed the objective of your site. At least :imho:

Having links is one thing, but presenting them the way you did is completely taking away from what your site sets out to do.
Of course, as already mentioned, the url doesn't fit the site at all.

All things considered, i'd redesign the site to have the Domain [Wii] appropriate content. Further, i'd revisit the design concept of the Proxy site, then get a better [proxy related] DN and start over.
Being flashy is one thing, but you went way over the top there.

very slow load...
the "we are listed" part just kills the smooth design you got, and that flashy ad it's a bit too much ...

How else would you suggest displaying those buttons, because they have to stay on my page in order to be listed?

When I develop spryproxy.com, I'll try something different, but I don't think that I'm going to give this site much more time. But considering the fact that I'm a terrible "designer", it probably won't look any better. :)

Thanks for the input.

update:I fixed up the top site buttons, putting them into an auto-scrolling box. I think I saw this somewhere else, and I think it really cleans it up.

As for the banner, that is for my website, and I think I'm going to keep it up for now. Maybe I will make it less flashy later, but it depends on the amount of traffic it brings me.
