One of the niches I have focused on over my 15+ years of domain investing is restaurant domain names. The problem is, I need to wait for a business to come to me, or open a restaurant using the same name of one of the domains I already own.
Below are some of my current domains that could be potentially used as restaurant business domain names.
Please share your restaurant domains and any strategies you have used to market them. I was thinking maybe promoting at culinary schools, but most of the students would probably prefer starting as a chef than a business owner.

Why stick with restaurants?
You got some good 4 letter .com domains there.
Those are HOT right now!
Read a few threads about 4 letter .com domains and also present sales and auctions.
Quite a few others could be sold to endusers wanting to blog about products, food, etc.

Now rethink just restaurants and think selling the domains to anyone.

Hi. Most of those are for restaurants, but the 4 letter ones and the brandables not including a food in the name could be used for anything. I am quite aware of the liquid value of the 4 letter domains, but for non chips end users will pay more in any niche. To me, 4 letter pronounceable domains like some of the ones I listed are very undervalued as they could be used for any niche. That is why I included them, not because it is the only use.
The point was not for all of these domains to be lumped in one niche, rather the best way to promote brandable end user names to the restaurant field. It's a lot harder than let's say ClevelandFurniture.com to a furniture store in Cleveland.

I could be wrong, but to me a restaurant startup from a company such as a Darden would have a larger budget for a domain name than a blogger.

I understand your approach in the sense of restaurant professionals having bigger budgets but instead I suggest you switch your focus on aiming for valuable domain names. As iowadawg suggested those 4 letter ones are hot now so definitely see what you can get.

Moving forward though analyze the value of the domains before you get them. See how many sites are out there with similar domain names that will find your domain beneficial/ an upgrade to their current domain. See what companies are attempting to rank on Google organic results and PPC (adwords). This is very important because these are people/companies who are investing time and money to rank and will find a benefit in purchasing your domain.

There is a lot of information on NamePros on this and also the tools that will assist you in the process. Doing some research and start to apply what you learn.

Thanks for taking the time to respond Will! I agree that the 4 letter domains are hotter now, but I have sold many similar domains like the ones on my list between $2,000-$7,000 over the last 15 years. They sell mostly to startups that want to create a new brand, not to established businesses already advertising. Those Google ads work great for my geo targeted domains such as HartfordLawyers.com, but not for brandables like the ones on my list as those advertising already have a brand.
I wish you all the best in your 2016 domain endeavors!
