creating a php hit counter for my website

hello all! :hi:

i've got a question here. i have a gallery setup at my website, www.iphon8ehdr.com (remove the 8 from the url)

in the sections where the wallpapers are, i want a counter to be below each iphone thumbnail that displays how many times the corresponding wallpaper was clicked.

i assume this would be done with php, but i have no idea where to start getting this together!

any assistance is greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance!

thanks for the link!

Is there anything even simpler than that, though?

That does exactly what i want it to do, but i don't need an admin panel with all that extra stuff.

nice and simple, but that records page views, not link clicks :(

this one works the way i want it to, but is defintelyyy not friendly for a website like mine where i will be adding to the gallery on a daily basis. there's about 5 steps to get the counter functioning. i need something a little more efficient.

not resolved just yet :gl:

edit:

after searching through many counters on hotscripts, it seems that they all require URL rewriting and IDing. major painnn, but i guess that's how they work. if anybody finds something easierrrr, PLEASE let me know!
