Reseller account recommendations anyone?

Hi Folks,

Anyone care to recommend a small to medium size reseller account company. (eg enom.com or tucows used to have "domain direct" but that seems to have gone tu). I'm looking to register oh, say 50 domains initially then see how it goes. I'm a web programmer so I'm comfortable with coding to an API, managing a DNS server, that sort of thing. Mainly I'm looking to register names cheaply without resorting to using a cheap reseller (eg 1&1 from what I hear).
