Type of Contest : Logo/Header contest for teeth whitening website.

Website : This is for my new page design. Not all pages are up yet, but the ones that are are below;

Contest End Date & Time : 10 days from when this thread appears (27th)

Size Requirements : 763x90 preferred. Needs to fit where the 'top logo/banner design' image is on my site. Can not be any wider, but can be taller.

Color Requirements : Don't care, post your ideas and I'll let you know if It's working. It needs to fit within the rest of the page.

General Requirements : It needs to be professional. I don't really like a lot of white space. I sell teeth whitening so it needs to look trustworthy.

Additional Information : A couple of looks/styles I like are (just for ideas);

Thanks for the submissions.
The first image, that icon looks cool, but It has got anything to do with teeth whitening. You would need to do something too to make it relate to the website.
Second one, don't like the icon, and again doesn't really relate to the the website. Dont like the background design also.

Also not keen on the "take advantage of....". That belongs in an advertising banner, but not a heading for the website.

Work on the first picture and not the second. This is what I meant by not liking white space. Just a picture and writing is boring. With the headers i posted in the first post, theres a lot more going on in. Try to take those ideas and incorporate them.

Tropica, I really don't like those 'clip arty' type pictures like the one you have of that tooth. But that picture would be best suited for a dentists website, not teeth whitening products. The background I don't really like, theres just nothing interesting about it. Also wrong choice of design/style for the 'white smile'. I don't think that style is good for what i want to be a professional business site. Its too kidy.

its difficult, you haven't really specified what you want, the site has no real colours to go from, and the files you have attached don't help at all, and i did state the clipart was not a part of it, just filler while i found a suitable graphic, as you can really put another photo in the logo as you have one on the main page

Tropica, good designers should be creative and capable of coming up with things on their own. Ive given examples of what I like. Work with that. You can see a huge difference between what you just made and the examples I gave. My examples look professional. Your first one was on track, but unfortunately does not relate to the site. Your other ones look like they belong on kids sites.

It might be better suited for an advertising banner if I was using it to advertise on another site, but not for a main header/logo on the site. Is it possible to get rid of that black box around the whitersmile.com.au - wouldnt mind seeing what that would be like. Rest of the colors and paterns are great and is the type of thing i like.
Unforuntately I dont think i would be able to use that picture of that girl. Yes she is in incredibly hot, but I cant help think she belongs on a porn site.
Could definitely work with the design tho.

i like how whitersmile.com.au is written. Im finding it kinda hard to imagine it and what its going to look like on the site because of the SAMPLE written all over it, because I think its going to have a much different effect, esp. with the colors.. I know its important to do something so someone doesnt steal the design, but i dunno if you can somehow make it less noticeable or not have sample over the entire picture. Im just having troubles picturing it.

Yeh I prefer those girls. I think we need to get rid of the 'best products & prices' and '#1 whitening gel', sorry. Keep the 'smile', i think that works nice. Have you tried putting your picture against the rest of the page design? Do you think the colors work?

Good work with the colors, really fits well. I think that tag line is genius. The WhiterSmile looks good, but if you have any ideas of other fonts you could use it for it, i wouldnt mind seeing them as a comparison. Sorry, I dont like that girl too much.




Something that I've noticed a lot for past designs and recent ones, everyone is using a female picture. Don't be affraid of using a male, I actually think its harder to find an appropriate female that fits in than it is to find a male.
