[req - logo] Mixed Martial Arts (UFC) Logo Needs Re-Design $75.00

CONTEST IS EXTENDED UNTIL 5PM TUESDAY
I need a new logo for my website. (site is down because after the logo is redesigned, I need the site redesigned).

I have attached a zip file showing what the layout of the site looked like and you can see the logo there. The problem is that the current logo is just the name of the site spelled out. (Knuckle Chuck). Everyone keeps telling me there needs to be some kind symbol that is not just the name of the site.

Anyway, I'm happy with the fonts used for the current "logo" (the words) BUT if during your logo design, you want to also change the font of the current logo, be my guest.

For those not familiar with the slang "Chuck" in this case means to "throw", so it is a slang used for fighting - you are throwing (chucking) your knuckles at someone. The website will be used to sell MMA (mixed martial arts) t-shirts (if you don't know what MMA is, it's like The UFC).

Once the logo is finished, the site will be changed a little bit. The current look and feel of the layout is OK, but I want to add a little style, a little pizazz, and a little more of a feeling of stability.

I DO NOT under any circumstances want anything with the look and feel of Affliction or TapOut or anything like that. It is too stereotypical and played out. No pit bulls, no guns, no chains, no barbed wire, no Japanese writing, etc.

Basically, the look and feel of the new logo (and then the new site) will be the Current KnuckleChuck + HitmanFightGear.com + TokyoFiveBrand.com - Hitman is a little more in your face, exciting, etc, TokyoFive is a little more exclusive, elite, etc.

you cannot use images like that, even if they dont say "Copyrighted" this doesnt make them free domain.

That wasnt a serious entry, it doesnt comply with your demands, its not even a logo, it mocks this thread and the people that gave you their time and hard work. The contest must be honored.

I know you guys have the authority in here, and I don't want to be in a bad situation. I'm a peace loving person, but I felt the need to reply.

You can't say it's not a logo just because it's not like your work, or it does not fit your personal definition of a logo. Just because my work did not meet your standards, it doesn't mean I didn't work hard for it. I've been spending time doing the logos too, just like the rest of you guys but I just sent several of them through pm. The ones you've seen are just the ones I've posted, so don't be too judgmental.

And by the way, Over 90% of logos you can find in the internet and in businesses uses stock and free photos too, and free vector images. Simple as it may be, it won this contest, and I guess you just have to respect that fact. You had your share of victories in the past, and just because a newbie won this time, it doesn't make this contest or my entries void.

If it will make you happy to win the contest, ask the TS for the prize, since I did not get it yet. As much as I want it, and need it right now, if it will just put me in a bad situation, all of you can have the money. But I'm really happy, I won, at least I know I've done something that made another person laugh or smile.

In my opinion.. I found his logos interesting and amusing and i don't see why you should criticise him so harshly... However, what he did was against the rules.. You can not submit logos via pm - "Rules for both Designers & Contest Holders

2 - The composition doesn't meet the Requirements given by the CH
3 - You cannot submit via PM, it's against the rules

I want to let all of you know that I did not talk to the CH, or had the chance to build rapport. I just kept on submitting even if he never replied. I just didn't want to flood with all the stuff I made. Since I have observed that people posted, and edited, posted and removed, coz so I've done the same.

And then just sent the images collectively as links. I'm the new guy when it comes to this contest. I never had any bad intention at all. If I won it's awesome!if not, it's alright.

And by the way, for the people who care about the prize or winning the contest, you can be the winners instead. I had no intention of doing anything wrong at all. Although I hoped to win, I'm not the type who would do evil stuff just to win. I never expected winning at all. I just wanted to participate, and give it a try. So I gave it my shot.
I even found out late about winning, because I did not check until several hours after the CH announced the winner. And the way people commented, it's like surprised but sport about the verdict, just like in any contest, and I think it was cool.

I have not joined any contests before, this is the first, coz it's just recently that I found out about the design contest threads and decided to join. So far, I have already tried posting in two other contests recently, failed but still trying. I just really got lucky on this one, and I'm happy about it. For me it's a blessing in disguise. But then again, the way everyone is reacting, maybe it's not. If 75$ is worth being rediculed, then you guys can have the 75, and leave me in peace.

Now, if anyone will find it hard to accept that I won, or make presumptions, because it doesn't seem fair that the "not-so-savvy-logo-maker-guy" won the contest, I don't care anymore. I'll just try to do better next time.

I did nothing wrong, I only won. I'm not even the one who have chosen myself to be the winner. I'm just really lucky ^^ Do I have to feel sorry that I won? I don't think so. I'm happy about it.

but before you talk about using images and putting text into it, why does this random knuckle image searchable in google look strikingly similar to the one you used? minus the red and grey highlight plus the text?

Anyway, You guys can start the contest all over again, and it would have been great if I had the money, but no I don't. So it's not worth making a fuss about it at all. At least mine was a first timer mistake, sorry for breaking the rules, and again, I had no bad intentions whatsoever. So, if anyone got offended, my apologies.

CH can do the contest again, I send a message saying he can give the prize to anyone he pleases to. I'll just learn vector first, then join again in the future. It was a great experience, and I still like NP and this thread.

It is an offense to break the rule unintentionally due to ignorance, and being irresponsible, not reading the rules first before joining. It's a mistake and I am apologizing.

But what could be worse than someone who knows the rules, talks about the rules being imposed, and judges someone basing on the rules, which turn out he is also breaking himself, putting someone in bad light, to do justice and cover up his own wrongdoings?

Just saw all of this. What in the hell is going on?

I never received any submissions via PM.

I selected the one I thought was best. Am I supposed to pay $75 to someone else for a logo I don't like and will never use?

I've probably held 2 dozen contests on here and never had an issue like this.
