Hello everyone,

We're looking for a professional logo style that matches our upcoming design launch for Excellent Host .com [**remove space between 'excellent' and 'host', just inserted them for search engine protection; .com not needed**], a provider that will build on the expertise and solid reviews we have with PolurNET.

Type of Contest : Logo Design, preference for vector format (Adobe Illustrator). PSD also fine

Prize : $50 Minimum, but up to $75 for astonishing logos. Payment via PayPal ONLY. ***Full logo source files, all fonts, and other design elements must be provided upon acceptance***

Contest End Date & Time : Tentatively set for February 10, 2007. This contest may also end any time before or after the due date, depending whether requirements were met in time.

Size Requirements : Must match the following website look:

Color Requirements : See above preview; red, teal, light orange should all work nicely

General Requirements : Must be original, have unique icon/logo next to text that represents the hosting company. No stock photos please. Preferably AI format for easy resizing. We'd like to decorate the logo for special events (eg. xmas, halloween, etc.) in future, so leave room for that. Text & logo should also follow a web 2.0 look, but don't necessarily overdo the effects.

Add slogan: "[ExcellentHost] there's only one!"

Additional Information : Specific comments will be provided, but there may be delays in response due to time constraints.

Hi LaiaS,

Thanks for the first entry!

It's too different from the proposed layout, so I suggest you change the fonts to match the web 2.0 look. The logo graphic is nice, but doesn't really signify anything particular about excellent host itself.

A suggestion is maybe to play with the 'X' to make extend its feet and make it curve over the text, kind of like a 'spray' effect.

Looking forward for more!

Hi believe,

Thanks for the entry.

It's nice, but misses a web 2.0 feel, with the way it is displayed (perhaps add some gradients and effects). Also, if you can change A+ to something more abstract, by integrating it with the text itself, that would be great.

Looking forward for more entries!

Hi warpser,

I like the curved E very much, it looks neat. The text and slogan could perhaps use some work though, think you can change the effect from a shadow to something more stylish?

I like this version much better, and it's very nicely done! Can you try something else for the "HOST" part? Also, try adding one of those reflection effects and see how that looks

umxca:
not exactly what we're looking for, too simple.

Thanks so far :)

Hi Gio :)

Thanks for the entry, but the fonts can use some work perhaps for a more web 2.0 look. Try adding some text borders or effects
