** Payment has been made with NP$ as a deposit and the winner will be awarded $40 worth of NP$ @ .02 (2000np$)

Type of Contest: LOGO Design
Prize: $40.00 (NP$)
Contest End Date & Time: 17:00PM GMT : 10th February 2009
Size Requirements: 250px x 100px
Color Requirements:

The background of the website (under construction) will be mid Blue & light Grey. I would ideally like the use of greys and blues for the logo, however, I am open to other colour formats and would change the background if necessary.

Perhaps Darker Blue & Grey for the Logo?

** The Logo must also be able to work in Black & White if required **

General Requirements:

I would like the design to communicate: a “Corporate” feel, quality, detail (attention to), Growth (from Biz Dev) and innovation. Somehow communicates a change of fortune / upturn in sales... (if you don’t ask....)

Logo to be made from:

Crammond
Business Development

Originally the name Crammond came from a village just West of Edinburgh where I used to cycle (Cramond Brig) and my idea was to somehow use the double mm to make an old arched bridge (bridge to success?), however that idea may be too cheesy, so am open to any ideas.

If possible, I'd like the mm's to be in a font without an upright on the side, so look rounded/symetrical?. xxx mm xxx / Cra MM ond

The Logo will be used on the company’s website and on company letterheads & in Directories etc. It must be clear & simple therefore and also configurable for Horizontal & Vertical use (if possible).

The company is a Business Development consultancy, operating in the SME Market (t/o < $20m), primarily focussed to growing a company’s sales.

Some graphic or “play with the lettering” could communication growth, an uplift, something positive, abstract?, to make it interesting.

Ideally it will be clean and corporate. The Name Crammond must be prominent.

Additional Information:

If you do a search for: business development consultancy, marketing consultancy or Sales & marketing consultants, you will get an idea of what “the industry” normally does.

I would like to bit slightly different/innovative, I can’t be too wacky, but neither too boring....

Lets see what you got.... :D

Nice. Like it!.

Perhaps the arc of the c (arrows) needs to be tighter so more readily looks like a C ? (not to read rammond). Perhaps you've already played with different arcs.

Prefer a smoother font (without uprights on the mm's) and Business Development in Grey, matching the other arrow? and bigger/thicker font so won't get lost when shrink down.

Smidgeon lighter shades?

Spelling - Business Development doesn't have an e after develop.... :hehe:

Great Logo though :)

I have a few more sketches for bridges just going to need my pen and tablet for that. But this goes on until the 10th, so I have time.

Hi rebelagent, Not quite as subtle a bridge as I was hoping for, but a good bridge none the less. An interesting use of upper and lower case too.

I was thinking more of the mm's being part of the arches "as an implication" rather than part of an actual drawing, a subtle graphic twist or something. (I have the artic skills of a pidgeon, so wouldn't know where to start).
___
mm

I like the font look of the 1st design on page 1 as an indication (the good one by hs143no), it's sort of smooth & classy.

Perhaps be less specific on bridges, try putting / playing with a horizontal line above the mm's to allude to a bridge?

A good logo looks quite simple?

Thank you for the feedback. Yes it is quite simple. I like to start out as plain as possible and add all the details later. It saves time in contests.

The idea you stated has already gone into the works. I've been sketching a few ideas.

Sorry, for delay, I missed it :(

I like the font. The lettering for Business Development is too small / weak?

The C is too overpowering (it appears at the foot of your 1st entry?), looks like a company call rammond, can it be a bit more "integrated.

Would it look better with C of the similar thickness as other letters, the arrowheads smaller and the C engulfing the r?

The time has come and I must announce the winner which is the entry from hs143no above.

Chosen for its simple, clean professionalism, which I can use in several ways..

Was a close decision however as I really liked some of the other designs, especially the one from umxca, really close and another great Logo.

It was a real struggle to make up my mind.

Well done for the quality ideas and a big well done to hs143no :)

Just waiting for info back from the winner.
