[REQ-LOGO] $20 simple logo contest

Prize : $20 USD. Payment is by Paypal only.
Contest End Date & Time : 10am Eastern Australian time, Monday 9th of Oct.
Size Requirements : around 66 px high, the width is more open as there is plenty of space on the site
Color Requirements : Check site http://linkanova.com for color scheme.
General Requirements :

The logo is for a new PPC Publisher network called 'LinkaNova' (similar to Adsense/YPN etc.). You can check out the format to get an idea for colors and size here:
http://linkanova.com

2 versions of the logo should be produced, a scalable version and a gif that can be slotted into the existing site.

I am looking for a 'clean' style, not busy. Good examples of what I am looking for are blinklist, youtube. Perhaps some kind of fireball set into the 'o' in 'Nova'? I'll let you guys come up with something.

smash505 - Good. I find the lettering a little thin. Emblem is a nice touch, but not really exciting.

AndySyme - Same thing - Lettering a bit thin. I don't like the stripe behind the lettering.

ProudCanadians - This is interesting, though possibly a bit tall. I liked the 2nd version (both the horns and the font) more than the 1st. I don't have much vertical space, so this could be a problem.

Poison - Great stuff. Lettering is interesting. If you could add the fireball effect to the 'o' (or maybe just some small flames coming off the top?), I think this would be it. I also like the LN logo as well.

Sorry if I pointed people in the wrong direction with the lettering of BlinkList. The thin lettering just doesn't seem to excite me when applied to LinkaNova.

justin_1 - Sorry, not my style.

ProudCanadians - The more I look at the background image, the less I like it. I like the colours, but I not keen on the horns.

Poison - Thanks for the change. Not sure if this is any closer. People commented that the nova looks like a pizza. I still think the hint of flames above the O would be worth trying.

AndySyme - I just feel the overall design is a bit plain at the moment.

Smash505 - The variations are good, but I don't feel they are as exciting/interesting as some of the other entries.

Flavian - This is cool, however there might be a problem that I don't have much vertical space.

hs143no - This is interesting. The only problem I see is that the white borders would be lost, as the site has a white background at the moment. I like the twin halos above the text.

jonainmi - great effort. I love the link, and I like the stripe through the lettering as well. Definitely a contender.

speciak - Good, but a bit plain when compared to the others. Needs something extra, like special formatting to one of the letters, or an emblem, to lift it.
