Registrant Search, Domain Tools

I've recieved a few emails over the last few months from domain tools.

Its a registrant search from DT.

Basically telling me that I have registered a domain. Does this mean someone is watching my regs and that I'm recieving a courtesy, by getting a copy of the email they send to the person watching me.

If so is there way I can find out who put this search on?

BTW I dont reg TMs or typos. so unsure why someone would want my info.

I used to get them because I actually did the 'free registrant search' when it first came out (you could do your own email). Did you ever do this?

I cant remember signing up to it. Perhaps I did and cant remember :zzz:
They have only started coming through since perhaps end of october/november. I guess the best thing to do is email DT and see what they say. Thanks for your input.

I get them almost everyday,

nice simple way to see who the previous owner of the name was,
every time a name is regged with your email you have listed with them you get an email telling you who the owner was before you (if there was a previous owner)
plus it's free.

The Registrant Alert email will also indicate any domains you dropped
and the new owner.

Useful if your domain was stolen!

I actually just registered ConstructionContractors.us

got the email and wham i was the previous owner,

That name must have slipped through unnoticed for some reason
