Anyone up for an Appraisal ...or three?
Out of curiousity. I registered a couple domains, that I just wanted to see if there was ANY value to them. Honestly, I probably don't think I'd sell them (unless, the right rich guy came along and gave me an offer I couldn't refuse).
I have currently the following domains:
freakinassholes.com
thatpig.com
consumernotion.com
and
sixbits.com
Now, the history.
ThatPig.com is a business domain (which, now, is a personal site but will change in the future). I originally got it for creating a medium for females to talk about their exbf's (and vice-versa). Traffic for the site was at a steady 300+ unique hits/day - unfortunatly, that quickly died when I took the site down for a couple weeks. Now, traffic sucks majorly...
So, it HAD purpose at some point.
Fortunatly, now, I am running my business off this domain (as a registered trademark - I just haven't had the time to actually change this domain to something useful) - pro-business.
I'd get the time to design something, and BAM! client calls me. Its awful.
ConsumerNotion.com is now my newest personal site business/pleasure/boredoffmyassandneedsomethingtodo venture...
I want it to become a public forum for customer support representatives to post answers to common asked questions about mainstream products (as of this moment, iPods and iMacs, and anything Apple is main topic of discussion). The site launches in the beginning of April. With advertisements placed in Google AdWords, Yahoo!, Slashdot, and Wired (I know a few editors... w00t!)
FreakinAssholes.com - I need it to vent due to customers calling Apple with dumb questions like "I want to install MacOSX "Tiger" on my Dell. - *slaps himself*
sixbits.com - had this domain for about 6 or 7 years now? Have NO use for it whatsoever. It just resides, and I keep paying like $30/yr for the name - free hosting from a friend though. Even though he's not hosting anything ...really.
Anyways, if you read ALL of that I wrote above... you're smoking a lot of crack, or on some sort of methanemphatamine - but I do appreciate it, and will definitely want to hear your advice.
