Thanks guys. I'm still gathering more ideas and having started the development work with my coder.
@Mr.Master thanks for the generous offer and the suggestions in email.
@gafadi thanks but actually I have at least two offers were much higher than 100xregfee (default reg fee set at $8)
A few possible ways to dev this one, as mentioned an avail domain site or a place to sell names at reg fee, names you basically regret regging or names that are expiring soon and you just want to recoup your investment.
Agreed about the niche appeal to (possibly lucrative) domaining market, but also think that if you have a firm offer approaching $1K for the name undevelopped... and don't have a dev plan, then sell!
If you do have a dev plan (and I would certainly build a name like this) that it's easily in the low $xxxx ... thinking about commissions from cross-selling high value items such as hosting etc for domainers.
Common domaining term known to every domainer; more valuable in its reference to domain registrar prices rather than in reference to domain appraisals; beautifully brandable and memorable as a registrar name and that's the way I'd go with development. Consumer memory has a lot to do with success, and a lot of new registrars don't make it simply because they are new and have chosen an awkward or unmemorable name; if you did a good job creating a registrar, like a really good job, then with a name like regfee.com you couldn't lose.
reseller = in the mid to high xxx range
end user = with serious development plans, wide spread to this one, anywhere from $800 to low-mid x,xxx if they love it.
Very nice domain, I actually saw this thread a couple of days ago and I just thought about and came back. It really shows the impression the domain has. I'd personally make a domaining site / blog with this or like some others suggested use it for a registrar.
Thank you guys. Your appraisals and helpful suggestions are much appreciated.
I have sold several domainer domains in the past but RegFee is one of my favorite domain name.
I'm working with the coder at this moment, so pls consider I am the end user
