Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if after a domain has been parked for a small amount of revenue and later on a website
is built on that domain this could affect negatively
that website's position on google ?

Thanks in advance.

Parking a domain typically involves placing it on hold with minimal content, often for advertising revenue. If you later build a website on that domain, here are some considerations for its impact on Google's search ranking:

1. Initial Neutral Impact: Parking a domain should have a neutral effect. Google doesn't penalize parked domains unless they have a spam or malicious activity history.

2. Content Quality: Once you build your website, ensure it has high-quality, relevant content. Google's algorithms prioritize websites with useful, original content.

3. Backlink Profile: Check the domain's backlink profile. If the parked domain attracts low-quality or spammy backlinks, it could negatively affect your new site's ranking. Use tools like Google Search Console to disavow wrong links.

4. SEO Best Practices: Implement SEO best practices from the start. Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers), ensure fast loading times, and make the site mobile-friendly.

5. Transition Plan: If the domain has been parked long, inform Google about the changes. You can do this by submitting a sitemap through Google Search Console and using the "Fetch as Google" tool to request reindexing.

6. User Experience: Focus on providing a good user experience. Factors like site speed, ease of navigation, and relevant content contribute to better search rankings.

Building a high-quality, well-optimized site on a previously parked domain can help mitigate any potential negative impacts and improve your chances of ranking well on Google.
