I can find very little written about Godaddy parking on the net and in Forums? Even Parkquick.com does not mention Godaddy parking on the comparison charts and they are tops. I realize Godaddy charges a small fee to park. Could this be part of the reason? Has anyone tried Godaddy parking? If so, how were they? I noticed many domains have a huge amount of uniques there too. I wonder why? I see some domains at TDNam (parked at Godaddy) that I consider less than great with thousands of uniques per month? How can a domain like GoToUSAandGolf.com (just an example) and earn 3500 uniques a month? Am I missing something? Can anyone explain this? Thanks.

I'm unfamiliar with GoDaddy parking, but would never pay to have my domains parked. I'm sure the parking programs that are free are good/even better than GoDaddy parking.

It seems like just a way to profit of domain beginners.

Most people won't pay to park when there are so many free choices out there. I'm pretty sure Godaddy stats show all hits including bots. That's why they show more traffic. They have an 80% revenue share. I'm not fond of the lander.

The Godaddy cash parking is included free if you join the discount domain club @ $89.99/yr. I have heard but am not 100% sure if you have cash parking and you buy a domain at TDNAM you will start getting the revenue share from parking as soon as ypu win the auction. This could be a plus if you buy a lot at TDNAM or have a lot of domains at GD.

I actually see huge drecreases in the uniques of every domain I have ever had in Godaddy Cashparking, as compared to the other services.
I have posted this before, but I will post it again. The only instance when I recommend using GD CashParking is if you buy a lot off of TDNam. If it is free if you get a Discount Domain Club membership, which is also worth it if you get a lot of stuff with them, otherwise it is not worth the money, and in fact does not offer as good a system as the other services. Make sure that if you use the Discount Domain Club and get CashParking with it, that you set your domains to automatically enter your parking account and start making money on them immediately. If you buy a lot of domains on TDNam, this is expecially important. Godaddy does not tell you a domain enters your account until almost a day later. If you don't have your domains set to automatically park with them, you have two options. One is to let them park your domain themselves until you find out it is in your account. You then move the domain somewhere else and Godaddy keeps the parking revenue generated thus far for themselves. Or two, you have to check your Godaddy account constantly (multple times each morning), to see when the domains you were expecting to enter your account do in fact enter your account, and then move them ASAP, so that you don't lose money. I think that the easiest option is to just have them automatically enter your CashParking account, then you can move them out as soon as they notify you that you own them at the end of the night and you make money (hopefully) in the meantime. As I mentioned earlier, this only really makes sense if you get a lot of domains with them.

No problem. I first noticed that even though I was getting the "Your transaction is complete" email from Godaddy at about 6:00 PM EST, the domain actually entered my account sometime that morning, usually around 9:00 AM EST. It took me another couple of weeks before I checked one of my domains that I had not moved to a real parking company, and saw that they park your domains for you until you change the nameservers. This is a commong practice with registrars, but if you don't know exactly when you get the domain you have wasted some hours.

I don't make a lot from the 1/2 days the domain usually stays at Godaddy, but they occasionally give me good clicks, and we should be getting any clicks during that time. By setting the domains to automatically enter your Godaddy CashParking account, you get it for those hours and don't have to check. This works for fresh regs too.

One problem with their system (besides the system itself :hehe: ), is that you have to manually turn adult keywords on for adult names, or it says that ads are blocked. If you are logged in and need to turn ads on an adult name, you might as well move it :hehe:

Thanks for the reps

I haven't had that experience as far as the domains landing in my account (but I was buying all new ones) GoDaddy's parking plan was where I first started earning any parking money; I had signed up for the Discount Club because I wanted to buy a bunch of domains, and the parking came with the club. I made a few bucks on some event names, but that dried up after the events were over, and really didn't make much of anything after that - that's when I went looking for other alternatives, and ended up here.

My feeling with GoDaddy's parking program is that it's sort of an afterthought with all the other products/services they have, and they didn't spend much time or thought putting it together, and haven't made any improvements since they did.

I'm actually going to start moving all my domains over to Fabulous (as the registrar, not just parking) as I renew them (and take out more) - the price is only a few cents more than the Discount Club price (minus the $90/yr club "membership") and I just cannot deal with GoDaddy's painfully slow interface and braindead support. I find them to be okay for really cheap hosting, but that's about all I'll be using them for in 2008.

I signed up with them - the fact of paying something like $100 for a 90% rev share (I think it was 90% a while back) was intriguing enough. Their system seems okay actually. Still, parked and others are better. A few high traffic domains paid little, a few other insignificant domains paid okay.

Still - any company that wants you to pay for parking seems completely backwards to me. I think they need the incentive there for people to not sign up. How much do they make parking unused domains on their own? They don't want 50% of their userbase to park with them anyway. They make more money keeping 100% of the parking revenues on their own.

By the way, last time I checked they had 666,420 domains parked through cash parking, and 6,482,495 domains parked because nobody has done anything with their domains. (Where they keep all the revenue)

I have try gd cashparking now. I think Godaddy stats not show more traffic. but its click revenue is normal than parked.com.

I think gd withdrawal cost hight and long time for international user.

eg: nic.com.ru
xiaoyu.org

godaddy reply say:

Currently, payment by check is the only option available to International customers. Unfortunately, the $50 minimum and $10 service fee still apply to those check payments. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

International CashParking Customers
Checks are sent to international customers for each quarter, approximately 45 days after the end of the quarter, on the following dates:
· February 15th, for revenue earned October 1st to December 31st.
· May 15th, for revenue earned January 1st to March 31st.
· August 15th, for revenue earned April 1st to June 30th.
· November 15th, for revenue earned July 1st to September 30th.

Cancellation Notice
If you cancel your account, there is a $15 service fee. This fee is taken from unpaid funds in your account. After all applicable fees, any balance left in your account is paid to you in accordance to your selected payment option.
