I think recycling companies may not care as much, this is because:
Not many recycling companies, it is not like webdesign everyone can do it. It needs capital and get approval from government. I receive ad for mortgage or insurance and many other promotions every week, but I rarely receive anything from a recycling company. So recycling business does not seem to advertise much.

Actually, I saw an ad today for a waste managment company - this was on a Saturday on a major television network with football. "Going green" and any other method of environmental protection is growing by the day - especially as energy costs soar. Recycling has its benefits. I think the owner is well within reason to ask that price - I'm sure to an extent it is the start high and we'll discuss game as well.

Yes, I agree that recycling is getting more important.

But do you actually have any choice for different recycling companies? I don't much choices. Even if I know I have choice, they almost identical, you just need to choose the one close to you. Do you drive 10 more extra miles to recycle things because the one further has the recycling.com website?
