.tv Recent DNS .TV Sales

Is DNS on steroids or what? $25k in .TV sales in one week! Some of those domains were regged 2011/2012 and if I saw them on an expiring name list, I would not have even backordered them. I believe these sales are really more about the DNS platform / team and not necessarily about a resurgence in demand for .TV domains. DNS is doing something which other platforms are not - thus the reason they basically owned this week's DNJ sales report.

Frank Schilling's DomainNameSales.com played the biggest role in generating the tidal wave as they sent us all of their sales (that were not subject oi non-disclosure agreements) for the entire first quarter of 2014 (all being reported for the first time)

Its great news for .tv BUT in order for .tv domains to sell that must have first offers for them. So no matter what platform there are people who want that .tv domain. They just for some reason dont want mine LOL

Good news.
I listed my all .tv names at DNS around a year ago and got zero inquires and sales.
During this time I got sales thru Sedo (domains are redirected to Sedo), sales via CAX and inquires via Godaddy.
Maybe it's better to try to redirect domains to DNS? What results do you have guys?

I don't think it has anything to do with their platform,I doubt they even bother to do any outbound marketing on those names.I'm waiting to see which of those domains end up developed.

It's not great news for .tv until you see a project going on on these domains.Defensive registrations,speculative moves... tell us nothing about the changing in demand.

Yes, I believe a couple of those sales were brands which as I mentioned really didn't make sense for any other purpose than brand protection. They could just as easily have been UDRP filings.
