I have received an offer for two of my domains, theroad one is a .us and the other a .mobi. I got the offer for both at the same time from sedo.
I checked out the .com/.net/.info does not look like someone is developing...but I can't help but think that would be the idea, especially receiving both offers @ the same time.

I thought these were good domains for maps.

One of the offers is for $60 and the other is $100. Should I send them to auction?
Any ideas of what to do would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks.

Auction, no doubt in my mind, good offers for .us.mobi in my view

It is strange that I got both offers within 2 minutes of each other, that is why I would think that someone might have plans for it. All of the other (.com/.net/.info) do not have anything to do with mapping or have anything common.

I googled "The Road" and it comes up with 130,000,000 hits.
There is a book named "The Road" and is on Oprah's book club.

And then there is a movie in production called "The Road" starring Charlize Theron, Viggo Mortensen, Robert Duvall (rummored) and Guy Pearce

I don't think that someone would be interested in it for this since they would do TheRoadthemovie.com...

Perplexed.

sending to auction wouldnt make a difference on those names imo.

offers for 60 and 100 are respectively respectable, so there's more $ in there. i'd counter 150 for the us and 450 for the mobi. buyer might think you'd come meet halfway on mobi, i'd drop down to 350 final, after his/her counter.

If the offers at Sedo are legit, I'd accept them! :gl: :imho:

You've done some good research already ... will countering (especially at $450 for the "dot Mobey" ) or sending them to auction put you in a better financial position, realistically speaking? IYHO. :|
What is the likely upside, and at what potential costs?

By countering one always risks losing the buyer, but 100 starting offer might indicate that there is more money coming in. Besides, a $300 mobi sale may leave extra funds for 5-piece jazz ensemble mobi purchases :)

^ Exactly. :red: :snaphappy:

Back to reality, since you yourself here just went from $450, then to $350, and now to $300 (with non of these being likely to result in completed sales, IMHO) ...
I mentioned "realistically speaking" above ... if it's legit, accept the $60 offer for this "dot Mobey", IMHO.
And, more importantly, do NOT reinvest the proceeds into any more lowly "dot Mobey's", as well! :!:

Just my two sense.

I just read the book...it was excellent and can be an academy award winning movie. Certainly it can be a box office success. I wouldn't sell yet.
